Long Islanders, and golfers in the final round of the PGA Championship at Bethpage Black, will see some sun and par-for-the-course spring temperatures Sunday, forecasters say.

Partly sunny skies with highs of about 69 and a low of 60 are expected Sunday, according to the National Weather Service. Chances of rain increase later, with a 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms by 9 p.m.

Monday could see a high of 71 with a low of 54. There is a 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms before 9 a.m., lessening to a 30 percent chance in the evening and later.

Clear skies are expected Tuesday and Wednesday, forecasters said. The highs are expected to be in the mid-to-upper 60s with lows in the lower 50s.
