Long Island weather: Highs in the 60s, with possible showers

Saturday's temperatures will warm up to a high in the low- to mid-60s, according to the National Weather Service's forecast as of early Friday evening. Also, look for chances of showers into the afternoon.
Don’t get used to the warm-up, though, News 12 Long Island meteorologist Pat Cavlin said in a tweet, as “a November blast returns again Sunday.”
And, not to worry too much about the frost Friday morning, when temperatures plunged to the 30s and even upper 20s in some locations.
“It would take a real serious freeze” to down those leaves before they have a chance to get all red and yellow and orange, said Evan Dackow, a certified arborist and co-owner of Jolly Green Tree and Shrub Care in Farmingdale.
“The fall colors will still be nice,” he said.
