It may feel like winter just won’t end — especially after Long Island was hit with another snowstorm Friday, the first day of spring.

The storm pushed Long Island’s seasonal snowfall total to 58.5 inches at Brookhaven National Laboratory in Upton (as of 8 p.m. Friday), surpassing the 2013-14 season total of 57.5 inches.

Both winters have been snowier than most on the Island in the past seven decades, according to Newsday.com’s chart of annual snowfall amounts at Brookhaven.
