Long Island weather: Sun and clouds Saturday with high of 51
Long Islanders can expect a “relatively quiet” weekend weather-wise as temperatures will stick right around normal with only a passing shower expected over the East End on Saturday afternoon, the National Weather Service said.
A mix of sun and clouds will hang overhead Saturday, but with a bit more sun than we’ve seen in the past several days, said Carlie Buccola, a meteorologist with the weather service’s Upton bureau. Saturday night temperatures will be in the 30s, she said.
Saturday’s high temperature is forecast to be 51 degrees at Long Island MacArthur Airport, where the normal temperature for this time of year is 50 degrees.
Sunshine will increase Sunday, but the temperatures will drop a few degrees, with highs in the upper 40s, Buccola said. The day is expected to remain dry.
