The weekend brings great weather conditions for viewing fall foliage, which the Empire State Development’s I Love New York program says is near its peak on Long Island.

Saturday will bring sunny skies, highs of about 60 degrees, a bit on the breezy side, with possible gusts of up to 24 mph, the National Weather Service said.

Sunday will be a bit cooler — highs in the mid-50s, but also sunny.

News 12 Long Island meteorologist Rich Hoffman said to look for “dry, nice fall weather through Election Day.”
