Skies are expected to move gradually from cloudy to mostly sunny Thursday afternoon, with calm breezes from the south, the National Weather Service’s Upton office said.

Highs Thursday should be in the low 80s, the service said.

Thursday also brings “spotty showers and chance of storms this afternoon,” according to News 12 Long Island meteorologist Rich Hoffman.

Skies are partly cloudy for overnight hours, with lows in the lower 70s, the service said.

Friday is mostly sunny, with highs mostly in the mid 80s, the service said.
