Friday's weather is looking to be sunny and with a high well into the 60s, the National Weather said, the first of five days on Long Island with similarly bright and seasonably warm conditions.

Thursday evening's clouds should clear overnight with a low in the high 40s and gusty winds of 24 mph, forecasters said.

Friday, the winds calm down to about 14 mph along with abundant sunshine, followed by a partly cloudy night with a low of 43 degrees, the weather service said.

Saturday, Sunday and Monday will also feature lots of sun as well, with temperatures ranging from the high 50s to the low 60s, forecasters said.

Monday night, however, ushers in a 40% chance of showers and showers are likely Tuesday morning before the sun returns Tuesday.
