Long Island weather: Potentially damaging winds expected Friday

A high wind warning has been issued for Suffolk County, the National Weather Service said, for Friday afternoon and early Friday evening.
Sustained west winds of between 25 to 35 mph are expected with wind gusts up to 60 mph, the weather service said.

Rain is forecast to fall Thursday night through Friday afternoon. There is a 100 percent chance of rain Thursday night, and it's not expected to stop completely until later Friday, when temperatures are expected to hit 50 degrees before cooling down for the weekend, forecasters said.
The sun will come out Saturday during the day, with temperatures expected to reach a high of 37 degrees and a low of 26 at night.
The high is expected to be 41 degrees on Sunday with the skies partly sunny. Rain is forecast as possible for Sunday night and Monday.
