There is an outside chance of thunderstorms reappearing in the region Tuesday night, but otherwise the week ahead looks mostly sunny.

Wednesday through Saturday look to be clear, with sunny, albeit cooler, the National Weather Service said.

Highs Wednesday will be about 68 degrees, followed by a high Thursday of 65 degrees and Friday, back up to 68 degrees.

Lows will be in the 50s those nights, forecasters said.

The weekend looks good, other than a 30% chance of rain on Sunday, the weather service said. Temperatures will remain seasonable.

Hurricane Sam, meanwhile, is expected to stay out in the ocean but could result in rough surf and dangerous rip currents late this week and into the weekend, the weather service said.
