After a cloudy Tuesday, the next two days will bring on and off showers and slightly cooler temperatures, forecasters said.

Starting Wednesday afternoon, showers will be around in parts of Long Island and then overnight, heavy rain and storms could move in, the National Weather Service said.

Thursday morning, there is a chance more rain will fall, with a break in the afternoon, and then another chance of showers Thursday evening.

Both Wednesday and Thursday evening, temperatures will reach highs in the 70s, then fall back to the 60s before rebounding to the 80s Friday and the the weekend, forecasters said.

Friday starts out foggy but the sun breaks out in the afternoon and the weather service says Saturday will be mostly sunny.
