Long Island forecast: Mostly sunny, warm days ahead
More dry and mostly sunny weather is in the Wednesday Long Island forecast with a slight chance of showers, according to the National Weather Service.
The high Wednesday will hit 81 degrees, dropping to about 66 at night.
Thursday, the high temperature is to rise to around 83 degrees, with sunny skies, and then, about 66 at night. Friday is expected to be hotter — 85 degrees during the day and 69 at night.
The sun is expected to stick around until Saturday morning, with a high near 84, before there's a 30% chance of showers Saturday night and all day Sunday.
