Long Island weather: Possible rain Wednesday, highs around 69

Wednesday brings the potential for rain lasting through about midmorning, with highs of around 69 degrees, the National Weather Service said.
Then, back we go to partly sunny skies for the rest of Wednesday, leading into showery conditions overnight and into Thursday, as unsettled weather continues for the rest of the workweek.
The weather service issued a hazardous weather statement for the South Shore of Nassau County and southwest Suffolk, warning of the likelihood of minor coastal flooding with the Wednesday night and Thursday morning high tide cycles. The Thursday night high tide cycle brings the potential for widespread coastal flooding for those areas.
