Unsettled weather in the form of rain and thunderstorms was moving through Long Island Wednesday evening, the National Weather Service said.

The rain was expected to fall, on and off, through Wednesday evening and pre-dawn hours of Thursday. Wednesday's high was in the high 60s degrees and the low should be in the high 50s.

There's a slight chance of showers lingering into Thursday morning and evening, with partly sunny skies in between and a high rising to about 80.

After some possible overnight showers, Friday morning has a 30% chance of rain but eventually the sun should come out, forecasters said. and the high should be about 77.

Friday night should be clear with a low in the high 50s and the weekend looks like it will bring perfect late spring weathers, dry and sunny both days with highs in the mid 70s and lows in the mid 50s, the weather service said.
