The rest of the Long Island work week will be sunny, breezy and cool, with slightly warmer temperatures this weekend, according to the National Weather Service.

Highs Wednesday topped out in the mid-50s with a mix of sun and clouds. The overnight low is forecast to dip to about 38 degrees with winds between 13 and 18 mph and gusts up to 30 mph, the weather service said.

Similar weather is forecast for Thursday. Friday should be a little warmer, with highs in the upper 50s predicted.

Then on Saturday and Sunday, sun and highs near 60 degrees are expected.

Rain could move in early Monday morning and linger into Tuesday. Highs are expected to be in the low 60s Monday and the mid-60s on Tuesday.
