Temperatures are expected to reach a high near 63 degrees and a low around 46 Wednesday, below normal, the National Weather Service said.

Look for dry and partly sunny skies Thursday, as temperatures are expected to rise to only the mid- to upper 50s, forecasters say. That's after Wednesday's 69 degrees at Long Island MacArthur Airport.

Thursday will be on the cool, breezy side, said Rich Von Ohlen, News 12 meteorologist.

The overnight hours bring a slight chance of showers, and those chances increase Friday, the National Weather Service said. Temperatures Friday are forecast to head up to the mid-60s.

It’s mostly sunny skies for Saturday, warming up to the mid-60s.

Sunday, Mother’s Day, brings chances of rain and highs in the upper 50s.
