Labor Day starts out cloudy but sunny skies and cool breezes will prevail for the holiday.
That's the forecast for Monday, although the hours leading up to it could be wet.
There is a 40% chance of showers overnight Sunday into Monday and gusts of up to about 20 mph. Lows will be in the high 60s Sunday night.
But Labor Day should see gradual clearing and highs in the low 80s, the National Weather Service said.
The breezes will continue Monday with more gusts of about 20 mph to accompany the afternoon sun.
Temperatures will drop to close to 60 degrees Monday night.
The rest of the week looks clear, partly to mostly sunny, with the exception of a chance of showers Wednesday night. Temperatures should hover around or close to 80 degrees, the weather service said.
