Mosquito spraying canceled for Thursday

Because of poor weather conditions, Suffolk County is canceling Thursday night's mosquito control spraying that had been planned for streets in Fire Island Pines, Water Island, Atlantique and Summer Club on Fire Island, health officials said.

Spraying in those areas will be rescheduled for next week, said a health department spokeswoman.
