The 19 Nassau County beaches closed over concerns about contaminated runoff after heavy weekend rains were opened again Sunday morning.

But 64 beaches in Suffolk County, including a Centerport beach that was closed Friday because of high bacteria levels, remained closed on Sunday.

The closures by the Nassau County Department of Health had mostly affected beaches on Long Island Sound -- 14 on the North Shore and five on the South Shore. Parts of Long Island saw 2 1/2 inches of rain early Saturday.

Information on Suffolk County beach closures can be found at suffolk countyny.gov/health.

Meanwhile, storm-related power outages were mostly resolved by Saturday afternoon. Sunday afternoon, LIPA's online outage map showed about 150 customers without power.
