Today's weather was similar to the weekend's — hot and humid with the possibility of a stray shower or thunderstorm tonight, forecasters said.
“That's been the story for the whole weekend,” meteorologist Ashley Sears said.
The risk of thunderstorms and a chance of rain continues into Tuesday.
The area so far seems to be dodging the fallout from Tropical Storm Beryl.
Sears said Sunday that “as of right now, we're not looking to be impacted. What we're looking at right now, it should stay far to the east and south of us.”
Forecasters expected the storm to move back out to sea toward the middle of the week.
Beryl was expected to bring 4 to 8 inches of rain, with some areas getting as much as 12 inches. Forecasters predict the storm surge and tide will cause some flooding in northeastern Florida, Georgia and southern South Carolina.
