Long Island weather: Mostly sunny and warm for week

The new workweek is expected to bring dry weather to Long Island before a chance of rain is mentioned in the forecast for Saturday.
Monday will kick off the week with a sunny sky and a high temperature of about 83 degrees, according to the National Weather Service. A northwest wind is expected out of the northwest at 13 to 17 mph.
Monday night should be mostly clear, with a low temperature of around 61 degrees.
More sunny or partly sunny skies are expected for the rest of the workweek. A high temperature of about 80 degrees is predicted for Tuesday, before the daily highs are expected to edge up a bit Wednesday and Thursday before hitting about 91 degrees on Friday.
The next shot at rain could be Saturday, when there is another 30% chance of showers, according to the weather service.
