Southampton opens warming centers

Prompted by the dip in temperatures and the possibility of a wind chill that dips below zero, the Town of Southampton Senior Services announced Tuesday it will open warming centers for town residents who may not have adequate heat.

Town officials said in a release the warming centers will be open Wednesday and Thursday between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.

Warming Center locations include:

Flanders Community Center, 655 Flanders Rd., Flanders

Hampton Bays Senior Center, 25 Ponquogue Ave., Hampton Bays

Bridgehampton Community Center, 585 Sag Harbor Tpke., Bridgehampton
