Sunny skies and warm temperatures will start off the first full week of summer on Long Island, with a chance of midweek showers, according to the National Weather Service.
Sunday will see mostly sunny skies, with a high of 77, said Tim Morrin, meteorologist with the service's Upton bureau.
Sunday night will be mostly clear, with a low of 58.
Monday again will be sunny, with a high of 80. The low on Monday will be 64.
Tuesday will be mostly sunny, with a high of 78. Tuesday night brings a 20 percent chance of precipitation, with a low of 67.
The chance of showers and thunderstorms rises to 50 percent on Wednesday, with cloudy skies and a high of 81 that day. Wednesday night will see a low of 69.
It will dry out again on Thursday, with mostly sunny skies and a high of 81. The low on Thursday will be 67.
Friday's high will be nearly identical at 82, while the low on Friday will again be 67.
