Don't worry about April showers this weekend - aside from some fog tonight and a few clouds tomorrow morning, the weather on Long Island is expected to be clear and sunny.

Today's temperatures are expected to stay in the lower 60s in both Nassau and Suffolk, said Brian Ciemnecki, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Upton.

Tonight's lows are in the upper 40s. Much of the night will be foggy, thanks to low-hanging stratus clouds coming north.

Tomorrow morning might be cloudy, but Island skies will be clear by tomorrow afternoon, Ciemnecki said. Temperatures should hit 70 in Nassau and the upper 60s in Suffolk.

Long Island should stay dry for most of next week. There's a 30 percent chance of rain Thursday, though that could change later next week, Ciemnecki said.
