The good news? The temperature will be unseasonably high on Monday. The bad news? The rain won't let you enjoy it.

Forecasts from the National Weather Service show showers on and off for the next few days, with periods of heavy showers coinciding with a warm Monday, meteorologist Lauren Nash with the service's Upton bureau said.

"The next couple days are going to be pretty unsettled," she said.

Sunday will see high temperatures in the upper 40s, with lows in the middle 40s, and rainfall beginning Sunday night, Nash said.

A warm front overnight Sunday will bring highs into the 60s on Monday, but the rain will increase Monday to heavy showers at times, Nash said.

Lows on Monday will be in the middle 40s.

Showers could linger into Tuesday, with highs on that day in the upper 40s to around 50, with lows on Tuesday dropping down into the lower 30s.

"It's a little bit of a cool-down, even though that's around normal for this time of year," Nash said.

The rest of the week looks dry, Nash said, with a possibility of some rainfall next weekend.

Wednesday's highs will be in the middle to upper 40s, with lows around 30. Thursday will be mid-40s, with lows in the lower 30s, while Friday will be in the upper 40s.
