Will winter ever end?
With warmer temperatures expected this weekend, it just might. According to the National Weather Service, Long Island should see highs in the upper 40s and plenty of sunshine Saturday and Sunday.
Long Islanders, however, will have to wait for the warmth with a chance of rain today and light snow possible for Friday morning's commute. According to the service, skies should clear by Friday night. On Saturday, a high of 46 and sunny conditions are expected with 10 mph winds. On Sunday, it will be mostly clear with a high of 49.
The warmer weather will continue into next week, with highs in the mid-40s expected throughout the week.
