Tidal flooding is expected along both the north and south shores of Suffolk County on Friday morning, forecasters said.

The National Weather Service said Thursday afternoon that up to a half foot of water above ground level is expected Friday morning in vulnerable areas near the shore in northeast, southwest and southeast Suffolk County.

More coastal flooding is possible with the high tide cycles through Saturday, according to the weather service.

The weather on Long Island, meanwhile, is expected to be quite pleasant Friday, with sunny skies and a high temperature near 65 degrees, the weather service said. A north wind is expected to blow at 13-15 mph.

The forecast for Friday night calls for clear skies, although the temperature is expected to dip to a chilly 43 degrees.

Sunny skies are also expected Saturday and Sunday, with a high of about 67 degrees Saturday and about 70 Sunday.
