In the weekend’s weather, it’s hard to find anything that's gripe-worthy.
Long Island is looking at sunny skies, low humidity and temperatures rising for the most part to the upper 70s, forecasters say.
“Great weather for the weekend,” said Rich Von Ohlen, News 12 meteorologist, who also made reference to doing a Happy Dance.
A bit less effusive, the National Weather Service said, “high pressure will dominate the weather with dry conditions and just a few clouds through the weekend.”
Temperatures Saturday are forecast to reach the mid-70s, even rise to around 80 degrees in some spots, Von Ohlen said. For those heading to Elmont Saturday for the Belmont Stakes, expect 78 degrees around post-time, which is 6:48 p.m.
On Sunday, a few clouds could make a late day appearance, he said, with temperatures just a few degrees cooler than Saturday's.
As we know, though, all good things come to an end, and so they do Monday and Tuesday, as chances of showers return to the picture.
