Long Islanders can expect "fantastic" weather this Labor Day weekend, according to National Weather Service meteorologist Bryan Ramsey who said the Island is expected to be warm and sunny into next week.

Saturday’s high temperature will be 75 degrees. Conditions are expected to be sunny throughout the day, which Ramsey said is due to a high pressure system passing through.

"We’ve got high pressure through the period, which is going to keep us sunny today and mostly sunny over the next two days on Sunday and Monday," he said. Saturday’s temperature is "maybe a few degrees below seasonal."

The high temperature is expected to be 75 degrees on Sunday and Monday. Labor Day is expected to be slightly more cloudy than the other days this weekend, but will still be mostly sunny.

Ramsey said wind this weekend will be "not too impactful. Looking on the lighter side today through Monday."

South Shore beachgoers also don’t have to worry about rip currents on Saturday or Sunday, according to Ramsey who said there is a "low risk of rips" both days.

Monday’s rip current risk will be assessed later Saturday afternoon.
