Long Island forecast: Dry and relatively warm week ahead

Sunday should start a dry and relatively warm stretch on Long Island expected to last through the workweek.
Mostly cloudy skies early Sunday will gradually clear as the day goes on, the National Weather Service said Saturday evening. The high temperature will be about 47 degrees with a northwest wind of 9 to 15 mph. The normal high temperature for the date in Islip is 45 degrees.
A wind advisory was set to expire at 4 a.m. Sunday.
Sunday night is expected to be partly cloudy with a low around 35 degrees.
The weather service said Monday will start off partly sunny and become full-on sunny with a high near 51 degrees.
The rest of the workweek is expected to be partly to mostly sunny with high temperatures in the 50s.
Rain only is only seen becoming a possibility Friday night when there is a 30% chance of showers.
