Friday appears to be kicking off a string of dry days, forecasters say.
The day should have mostly sunny skies, with temperatures heading up to the mid-50s.
Sunny skies were expected for both Saturday and Sunday as well, with highs in the mid-50s, the National Weather Service said. It is still unseasonably cool for this time of year, however.
Indeed, the weekend “looks good for yard work and outdoor events,” said Rich Hoffman, News 12 Long Island meteorologist.
And, look for more of the same early next week, forecasters say.
