Forecast: Mostly sunny through the week with highs in the 50s

The final week of November is forecast to end with high temperatures in the 50s — normal for this time of year, meteorologists said.
Monday will be sunny and breezy with highs in the low 50s, according to Carlie Buccola, a meteorologist for the National Weather Service in Upton.
Typically, the high is 50 degrees in Islip so Monday’s forecast is “near normal, a few degrees above,” she said.
Sunday brought a cold front to the Island in the morning, Buccola said. The high temperature in Islip was 51 degrees shortly after midnight and fell throughout the day. A 28-mph wind gust was recorded at Islip as well.
Look for mostly sunny skies on Tuesday along with a high of 54 and an overnight low of 43.
The generally sunny skies continue into Wednesday when the high is forecast to be 56 and the low 38.
A mix of sun and clouds is ahead for Thursday. The high that day is predicted to be 52 with a low of 43.
Friday will see the first chance of precipitation for the week, the forecast shows. A few light showers or sprinkles are likely for Long Island at the end of the workweek with a high of 53 and overnight low of 40.
