Wedding bells for Timberlake, Biel?

Are Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel headed for the altar?

Us Weekly reports in its new issue that singer-actor Timberlake and actress Biel ("New Year's Eve") became engaged in late December following a nearly five-year romance that included a three-month split last year.

According to the magazine, the proposal took place in Jackson, Wyo. Us says that for Biel, a snowboarding fan, the snowy mountains provided the perfect backdrop for the proposal. Representatives for Timberlake, 30, and Biel 29, did not respond to ABC News' request for comment.

Timberlake and Biel began seeing each other again in mid-fall, with the actress making the publicity rounds with Timberlake as he promoted his movie "In Time."

The pair also appeared together in public in November at the GQ Men of the Year party. After they reunited, the couple talked about taking the next step, Us said.

Engagement rumors circulated last month when an art gallery in Jackson tweeted on Dec. 19, "Word on the street is that Justin Timberlake proposed to Jessica Biel at the Amangani [resort] last night." The gallery did an about-face two days later, writing "Gossip media outlets seem to think that we staged this Justin/Jessica rumor to get some press . . . if only we were that clever! Our apologies to Justin and Jessica for all the fuss . . . "

The news of Timberlake's possible engagement comes a few weeks after his ex Britney Spears announced her engagement to former manager Jason Trawick.
