Wedding: Brittany Peskett and Richard Spoor

Brittany Peskett and Richard Spoor were wed Aug. 3 at the Surf Club in Miller Place, with reception following. She is a secondary education substitute teacher for mid-Hudson Valley school districts and also works for Benmarl Vineyard. She is the daughter of Donna Johnson of Riverhead. The bridegroom is a staff sergeant, an infantry scout sniper and paratrooper with the U.S. Army National Guard and a maintenance construction worker for the New York State Thruway Authority. He is the son of Terrence and Linda Spoor of Marlboro. The bride earned bachelor degrees in communication disorders and secondary education and in English language arts from SUNY New Paltz. The groom is pursuing an associate degree in architectural drafting from SUNY Ulster. They live in Gardiner.
