Jacqueline Godfrey and Stephen Bassermann were married on Sept. 7 at St. Patrick's Church in Bay Shore, followed by a reception at Carlyle on the Green in Farmingdale. She is a legislative specialist in government relations for the American Red Cross in Washington, D.C., and is the daughter of Seamus and Elizabeth Godfrey of Bay Shore. The bridegroom served as the campaign manager for Andrew Roraback for Congress and is the son of Peter and Sharon Bassermann of Branford, Conn. The bride earned a bachelor of arts in political science from Sacred Heart University. The groom earned a bachelor's degree from Yale University. They live in Washington, D.C.
