Park Avenue, one of Babylon Village's main thoroughfares, was a whiteout at 7:15 a.m. Wednesday.

The village saw upward of 8 inches of snow, based on local observations, and the white stuff is still coming down. The temperature is 27, making the roads especially slick.

According to the National Weather Service, snow will continue to fall until about 10 a.m. A high of 35 degrees is expected, so some of the snow could melt and refreeze overnight, affecting Thursday's commute.
