New dates for a West Sayville seafood festival have been announced after the event was postponed because of Tropical Storm Irene.

The 20th annual Seafood Festival, held by the Long Island Maritime Museum, will now be held Sept. 24-25 at the museum, 86 West Ave. The event was originally scheduled for Aug. 27-28.

Tickets purchased before the event was postposed will be honored on the new dates, the museum said in a message posted on its website.

The event will be held from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and will include food, music and children’s activities.
