It's getting uglier on the roads.
The westbound Long Island Expressway is backed up from Powells Lane in Old Westbury to Glen Cove Road and then from Roslyn Road to Willis Avenue. Portions of that roadway are at a standstill. A crash near Exit 42 at South Oyster Bay Road in Syosset has forced a closure of the right shoulder.
The Northern State Parkway is slow from Searingtown Road to Lakeville Road.
