NORTH HEMPSTEAD SOLAR ARRAY. The North Hempstead Town Board will hold a special hearing tonight to discuss adding solar panels at two old landfills. The 7:30 p.m. meeting will be at Town Hall, 220 Plandome Rd., Manhasset. Follow Jennifer Barrios’ Twitter updates: @Barrioscq

As a result of patchy fog on Long Island Tuesday afternoon, drivers, especially those in coastal areas, should be on alert for reduced visibilities of a quarter of a mile or less, the National Weather Service said. 

Today will be overcast with rain and fog early in the morning. The high will be 46 degrees and the low 37 degrees, with winds from 5 to 10 mph. This evening will be overcast and then partly cloudy.

LINDENHURST: Water has been shut down in order to repair a water main on West Hampton Road near Dodges Promenade. The shutdown will affect about 20 residences.

Note: Residents of the area may experience no water service, low water pressure or discolored water.
