Asharoken
Board on Budget: The Asharoken Village board of trustees meets at 7:30 tonight at Village Hall to discuss, among other things, the village’s proposed budget. The proposed $1,947,523 budget for the 2011-12 represents an increase of 2.43 percent over last year’s budget. If the budget passes as is, village property owners will see a tax increase of 2.87 percent, or about $90 a year for the average homeowner.
