Duke University: He has a rare dual role for a freshman in the ACC. He starts at second base and has a .245 batting average, 10 RBIs and seven stolen bases in eight attempts. He also leads the Blue Devils with three wins and two saves and has a 4.30 ERA with 28 strikeouts in 23 innings.

John Soldinger

Bay Shore

Manhattan College: The big righthander has a team-leading six saves and a team-low ERA of 1.62 in 10 relief appearances for the Jaspers in a closing role. His fastball is clocked at 87 with a major-league curveball.

CATCHER

Cam Maron

Hicksville

Mets farm system: Awaiting assignment. Hit .293 with one HR and seven RBIs in 12 games in Gulf Coast League last year.

Kyle Hansen

St. Dominic

St. John's University: Has a 3-1 record, a 4.62 ERA and has struck out 21 in 251/3 innings. Threw 21/3 innings of one-hit relief in 6-4 win over Illinois.
