Why does this man get a TV show?

Ted Williams, the homeless man with the mellifluous voice, is getting his own TV reality show ["Golden-voiced Williams lands reality TV show," News, Feb. 23].
This is a world gone mad! What are we teaching our children? The more you mess up, the greater your chances of becoming rich and famous?
I'm all for second chances. But Mr. Williams lied repeatedly about his sobriety and rehab efforts and now he's rewarded with his own show. Madness, no doubt.
