Why no storm aid from U.S. allies?
The U.S. has suffered recent tornado disasters as well as flooding ["Relief for Tuscaloosa," News, May 28]. I have not read any articles in newspapers that inform us of help coming in from other nations around the world. I have not heard on television or on radio of any foreign help for Americans in disaster areas.
Where is South America? Where is Europe? Where is Pakistan? The U.S. government should cancel half its foreign aid this year and send the money to disaster areas within our nation.
