First there were Internet rumors that Sarah Palin has Jewish roots. Next, she was sporting a hefty Star of David in the photo that accompanied "Tour de Palin" [News, June 2].

What's next? Will she shave her head and wear a wig, like an Orthodox Jewish woman, or have a "photo op" outside the Great Neck mikvah (ritual bath)? And who knows, the following week, she'll be interviewed with rosary beads in hand.

She's an ecumenical opportunist always ready for her next close-up. I know I'm not alone in feeling unimpressed and unconvinced about her convictions.

With regard to your article showing Sarah Palin holding her hand over her heart as the national anthem is played, that is the Star of David around her neck.

Since when did she change religions? Apparently, she came to New York seeking the Jewish vote. What chutzpah!
