Denise D. Pursley

Managing partner

Denise P. Pursley of Massapequa has been named 2010 Woman of the Year by the American Cancer Society for demonstrating "the strength and determination it takes to be a leader in business and in life." Pursley is a managing partner at the Jericho office of law firm Nixon Peabody and is a partner in the firm's real estate department. She is also general counsel of the Long Island Housing Partnership and a member of the Association for a Better Long Island, among other organizations.
