Woman walking dog bites would-be rapist, and he flees
Police have released shocking surveillance video depicting a man attacking a 30-year-old woman walking her small dog about 7 a.m. Sunday in Inwood to help apprehend the would-be rapist.
The woman, identified in some news reports as pregnant at the time of the attack, derailed the attempted rape by screaming, fighting back and biting the man, police said.
The attack occurred on West 212th St., but police declined to give the exact location because the victim lives in the area.
Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS, submit a tip to www.nypdcrimestoppers.com or text 274637 and enter TIP577.
