A 22-year-old Canadian man took selfies to the next level after an elephant snagged his camera for a quick photo.

Christian LeBlanc was visiting a Thai island with his girlfriend when they went to feed a few elephants bananas, according to CNN.

Instead of a ripe banana, the elephant LeBlanc was feeding decided it wanted a bit more and snatched his GoPro out of his hands.

"At first, I was a little cautious of its size," LeBlanc told CNN. "However, a few minutes in, I realized that despite its power, the elephant was relatively gentle. I got comfortable enough that I let my guard down."

"Next thing I knew, it grabbed my GoPro by the mount and I got the selfie of a lifetime, which I can't take full credit for," he said.

The photo spread across Instagram after LeBlanc posted it on his account. LeBlanc's camera had a continuous shooting function on it so the elephant did not have to physically press the button itself, he told ABC News.
