DEATH TOLL. Pan American Health Organization put the number at 50,000 to 100,000; Haiti officials believe it's higher.
LOOTING ESCALATES CRISIS. Violence hinders aid workers. Police fear deadly rioting if delays in food and water aid linger. In Port-au-Prince, the capital, 300,000 displaced were living outdoors.
FIRST SUNDAY AFTER QUAKE. Worshipers prayed for thanks, hope amid rubble. "Why give thanks to God? Because we are here," said the Rev. Eric Toussaint at an open-air Mass.
UN CHIEF ARRIVES. UN plans to start feeding 1 million people in two weeks and 2 million in a month, Ban Ki-Moon said.
