Pre-hurricane evictions
The mayor of Delmar city, on the outskirts of Port-au-Prince, has begun clearing out camps set up after last year's earthquake, evicting people amid heavy rains and the start of the hurricane season Wednesday. Mayor Wilson Jeudy says the settlements, densely packed clusters of wood shanties and tarps, have become staging areas for crime. Panicked residents say they have nowhere else to live or seek shelter. The earthquake left about 1.5 million people homeless.

His two brothers were accused of playing minor roles, as lookout and getaway driver. A former Moscow police officer was accused of supplying the murder weapons.
SRI LANKA: Video suggests war crimes

The expert, Christof Heyns, reviewed the 5-minute, 25-second video with a team of technical and forensic specialists and concluded that it suggests enough evidence for a war-crimes case. Sri Lanka has claimed the video is fake.
