CHICAGO -- Wrigley Field was re-opened after a telephone threat prompted police to evacuate the ballpark for about an hour. Chicago police spokesman Thomas Sweeney confirmed the threat last night but declined to provide further details. Security told the media to leave the press box after the Cubs' 2-0 win over the Giants but declined to give a reason. They were allowed to return about an hour later. Police were seen going through the ballpark with dogs. Authorities also redirected traffic away from a street that runs behind Wrigley.

There was little drama in the game itself. Jake Arrieta pitched four-hit ball into the eighth and also tripled and scored as the Cubs earned a four-game sweep and won for the 10th time in 11 games. -- AP
