Yanks series opener postponed
Thursday night's Yankees' game against the Toronto Blue Jays at Yankee Stadium was postponed because of inclement weather.
The game will be made up as the second game of a single-admission doubleheader on Saturday.
The first game is scheduled to start at 1:05 p.m. and will be broadcast on Fox. The second game will begin about 30 minutes after the conclusion of the first game and will be broadcast on the YES Network.
Joe Girardi told reporters Thursday that Luis Severino, who was supposed to face David Price Thursday, will not pitch Friday. Ivan Nova and Michael Pineda will start Saturday's games in a yet to be determined order. Masahiro Tanaka will pitch on Sunday, while CC Sabathia will start Monday.
Only tickets for Saturday's game will be valid for the doubleheader at the Stadium, however.
